advice on connecting a headphone amp-graham slee novo

Hi guys, i think im gonna go for the above headphone amp so just a question on connection, from what ive read the best way to connect is through the tape out but also in the item description it says it can be connected to the pre-out... my amp has a pre-out that is connected to a mains in via a small plastic clip thingy, whats this all about? and is that the best connection for the headphone amp?

Yes, you could remove the jumpers between the pre-outs and power amp inputs on your NAD, then connect the pre-outs to the Novo's inputs, and the Novo's outputs to the NAD's power amp inputs.

However, this may have an effect on the overall sound of your amp, and of course the volume of the headphone amp will be affected both by its own volume control and that on the NAD.

I'd connect the headphone amp to a tape out on the NAD.
