Advice needed

Hi everyone. I've had my system since it was new. Must be nearly 30 years old now. Arcam A75 integrated amp, bi amped with Arcam P75. Arcam CD92 and DT81 tuner. Last year my old Mission 773Es gave up the ghost. I bought a pair of Q acoustics concept 40s and absolutely love them. Unfortunately my A75 doesn't work too well these days and I'm thinking of replacing the amps. I don't use the radio but the CD player. I still use. I'm thinking about a streaming amp such as the Marantz PM7000N. What's everyones thoughts.? How would the sound compare to what I'd be replacing and would it work well with my speakers. I don't want to spend more than £1k.

A difficult one to answer, most modern amplifiers will drive those speakers, can you audition any?

Hi, Q Acoustics Concept 40 are very good speakers with "grown up sound signature". I recommend to pair them with an amp which is a bit more autoritative and energetic. Today last generation from Arcam Radia amps are all very good, similar are french Atoll very good and also their CDs, streamers are very good. I am Rega fan, so Rega will work very good here, e.g. Rega Elex mk4. And you may still keep your belowed CD, tuner...Those three combinations will I think sound better than with Marantz PM 7000N. Marantz has soft, a bit slow sound. BR.

Maybe you want a change anyway, but is that A75 beyond help?
Some older amps can perform like new again after only minor attention.

If that was being used purely as a preamp it was a bit wasted anyway. Just buy a replacement preamp, and separate streamer if required.
If you simply must biamp do it properly with a preamp and two monoblocks....
