Its a shame but seems like what hifi is just full of adverts now and makes me not really want to pay attention to any of the reviews now. There is a massive ad at the top of the screen which is way bigger than a normal size. also the ones on the side seem a bit much.

is what hi fi now a sell out? I hope not......

do the ads bother anyone else?

Not really, they're really no different to what they have been for some years now and at least now they don't spontaneously erupt over the page like they used to. There are worse sites, I've stopped visiting my local newspaper's website as they now have adverts that cover the entire page and have no way of getting rid of them, which is just bizarre, sure I can see the advert, but I can't read the page I was actually visiting for, so why would I ever go back?

Stuff is doing a cracker at the moment as well, TWO survey popups overlaying each other, that's going some.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the site is free of charge but we have to pay for it somehow. If you'd like to pay a monthly subscription...

Unless ads are presented in the manner that LHC described, I don't see them. My brain just discards them without having to resort to more software. As has been said, perhaps you would prefer to pay a sub for a non-advert version OR you could opt for the SKY version, where fools pay a sub AND get commercials.

Couldn't let this thread pass without mentioning the littlewoods advert I'm currently seeing at the top of the page, offering a Sonos Play:1 for £199, 30 quid MORE than the rrp. BARGAIN!

The ads are an essential and most undestand that. What IS really frustrating is the JUMPING. No other site I use does this. The page opens. I click a link. The screen jumps. A different link opens because its jumped. Happens repeatidly. MADDENING.
