Adding a subwoofer

Could someone please explain to me how (or even if) I could add a small sub (REL quake, MJA pro 50, that sort of thing) to my system - see below. I currently plumb my DVD player into the amp and would like a bit more oooomph with movies. Cheers.

Yeah you can connect to both rel and mj a using a high level neutrik speakon cable (find one on ebay). Its basically three cables that connect to your amp speaker terminals. It pulls the low frequencys from the signal that your amp can't reproduce. Works well to be honest.

That's fantastic, thanks a lot Ranglo, I've already found said item on eBay, bargain, all I need to do now is get a sub.
