I agree with everyone's comments about room accoustics. Any of my main component purchases are only made after being demoed in my room.
I have a 8ft high x 10ft wide mirror running along one of my side walls in my room (a remnant from previous use as a dance room) - so with my speakers out in some space and some carefully positioned furniture/soft furnishings - my ears don't detect any issues with brightness / reflections. I'd like to do more as there seems a lot of potential to improve the accoustics further, but have no time for this atm.
