A/V Receiver purchase Dilema

I'm stuck in a dilema of AV Receiver purchase proportions. I've sitting here with my old Sony amp of about 13 yrs and a new set of B&W MT30's & WM4's, QED/Chord cables to compliment a Sony KDL-46z5500 and still, STILL stuck on deciding whether to upgrade to the Sony's DA5400ES/5500ES or Pioneer LX82. But I keep asking myself if I'm aiming too high in the A/V arena and feel almost schizophrenic on which way to go.

Anyone out there able to nudge me over the line convincingly.

If an LX82 can't get the MT30 package singing, nothing will!

As far as amplification is concerned, you can never aim too high. Having moved from a £1400 AV receiver to the LX82 myself, I have to say it's virtually transformed my system. Admittedly my speaker package will allow more of the performance of the Pioneer to shine through, but having heard what an LX82 does to a Monitor Audio Bronze package recently, I'm staggered at what this amplifier can do! Of course, similar things can be said for similarly priced amps like the DSPZ7 and TXNR5007, but the LX82 is a cracker.
