Hi,

May I know what's the different between 8ohms & 6ohms Speaker? If i want to upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1 & my rest of the speaker is 6ohms can I buy the 8ohms of best to stick to the 6ohms?

Planning to buy a floor standing for the front.

Thanks

i think there should be no problem if speakers are setup right and balance (using auto calibration setup or manual).

Be noticed that different speaker models may produce different tonal quality, but sometimes even different models may also have very close or same tonal quality either.

6ohms is more demanding load than 8ohms. In theory if your amps power supply is good you will find that more power is delivered into a 6ohm load. As the impedance goes down the harder the amp has to work to drive the speakers.
