At the moment i have an Arcam Solo Music and Monitor Audio RS6's which power my music and my Panasonic DMP-BD30. My next upgrade, it would seem, would be a surround system of sorts... I was thinking the Onkyo TX-SR606 with a Kef KHT3005, plus another 2 satellites. I have just a couple of questions...

Would this be a decent match, or would another suit..?
Does the 606 handle all HD audio varieties you throw at it?
Is this the most recent in the "Egg" series?
Will there be any update soon?
Where could i get this from for a decent price plus cables and front stands?
Could i use my RS6's as the fronts or do all the drivers need to be the same size?

Thanks in advance for any input )

Do you mean the 3005SE version? In which case, this should be a good match.

Yup.

Not sure what you mean? They've been out for quite a while but are the latest version in that range at the moment.

Haven't heard anything, but then the new 2005.3 range is to be released soon (see story here) so it's possible a new 3005 series might be released soon.

You could indeed, but you should then really look to base your centre and rear speakers around the corresponding Monitor Audio Silver products to ensure tonal balance.
