5 year warranty or local support?

I'm in the process of buying a Pioneer PDP LX5090. For roughly the same price I can buy from the Sevenoaks shop down the road and get their support and advice, OR buy from a shop 125 miles away and get a 5 year warranty included.

Can anyone advise, from experience, what the better deal is?

Sorry. Scrap that. Sevenoaks also includes a 5 year warranty. Problem solved.

It shouldn't matter where you by the TV from as the warranty is supplied by the Manufacturer, which in this case is Pioneer.

Go here to find out more about there FREE 5 year warranty. You will need to buy from a partifipcating dealer (which Sevenoaks S&V are) and have a demonstration of the TV to qualify.
