Hi,

I am re-arranging my room and am to replace my old Denon 5.1 speakersSwoofer. I have an Onkyo TX-SR606 which I am pleased with but I am looking for some recommendations please on a new speaker set. To give you some background, I listen to the radio (music) every day via the system and use it for music (Ipod etc) and films at the weekend. I'm not a sound afficianado, I am just looking for a decent 5.1 set under £500 that will give good representation across sound and movies. I did consider a soundbar, but my TV is going to be wall mounted on a swing out bracket which makes that impractical. I would be grateful if anyone could offer a few suggestions

Thanks

Mark

Hi,

I have no experience with 5.1 packages in that price range, but if you look at the reviews (http://www.whathifi.com/search/apachesolr_search/?filters=tid%3A383%20type%3Ahcmproduct%20fs_cck_field_price%3A%5B301%20TO%20500%5D&solrsort=created%20desc&retain-filters=1), it would seem that Tannoy and Wharfedale both have interesting sets.
