Whatever pal; if you can't be bothered to supply the informstion rather than providing links to other sites, then don't bother asking for help in future. I was only trying to help.

actually you didn't ask for this, there was just a blank space in your post. I answered the title in your post and the link you provided doesn't work for me.

i would give up if you expect people to have ESP.

if you specifically put down what you are looking for I.e. All in 1 system, separates etc then I'm sure you will receive a suitable informative response. That's how it works buddy :wall:

i linked my post from other forum beacuse antispam filter dont allow me to post this simply request (but allows linking online stores). anyway i found airplay dongles for few bucks. this one can be a solution: http://www.whathifi.com/review/ht-f6500

bluray, mkv, av receiver, speakers. if it was with airplay, that will be perfect for me! any idea if other brands have something similar?

To be fair he did in the link which he posted above which i missed and i apologise, th question seems to be out my knowledge, maybe someone else could answer.

Here's the OP's original question:

Hi! Just got a new home and i want a mini home cinema in bed room (alreday have a good one in main room), without sacrificing funcionality:

What i want is: AV receiver with 5.1 small speakers (something like Bosesystems) AirPlay Good night mode / dynamic compression mkv support

Is it possible in an all-in-one system?? If not, other solution can be an av receiver with airplay, and a tv with mkv support.

Problem is i have a lot of mkv's with ONLY DTS-HD, and ARC dont works with hd audio.

Any suggestions? thanks

I think you're confusing people by asking for AV receiver with 5.1 speaker system & giving example of Bose in the same sentence. Bose systems are not true AV receiver and speaker systems. They're called all-in-one, or 1-box home cinema systems. Can you clarify what you want?

If you're looking at one-box solutions, check LG & Samsung systems which generally support mkv. Add an Apple TV for AirPlay support, because none of the one-box solutions support AirPlay, as far as I'm aware.

yeah i checked both some hours ago and they're fine. only problem that dont have airplay. but as i said before, there are airplay dongles for 20-30€. only systems i found that have ALL i want are harman-kardons but its 1000+ €. too much for a secondary system. i dont need an apple tv, because i need airplay only for mp3's, not for videos

Make sure you buy the AirPlay dongle from a place which accepts returns. Looking at various reviews of AirPlay dongles, they have lot of problems. In my experience, Apple TV provides the best AirPlay experience. My Boxee Box does AirPlay as well, but it's not as good as Apple TV in consistency. Ofcourse, if it's audio only, the dongle may work very well.

Dude, just a future tip; if you want help, don't be a complete d*ck to the people you expect help from. You know, with forums it's not like these people are paid to help you, it's not part of their job role. They're doing this off their own back. If you want detailed help, it's your responsibility to provide the correct information in the first place and people shouldn't have to go trawling through links just to find the correct information in order to help you. You should already have it all in the first post so people can read it, know what you want and determine whether their own knowledge can help you in some way or another. To be honest, it wouldn't of hurt for you to copy and paste the information like Bigboss did.

That aside, the AV reciever I have has AirPlay capability (Yamaha RXV775) and is on sale at the moment for £400, £250 less than what I paid for it. In terms of speakers, the Cambridge Audio Minx S215 sat+sub system has recieved positive feedback and managed to bag 4 stars from WhatHiFi and can be had for £500 from RS. As for DTS-HD MKV support, I'm not too sure how to do that. What I use is a 2TB external hard drive plugged in to my Panasonic Blu-Ray player via USB which recognises and plays MKV's with DTS. The Blu-Ray player is then fed to my Yamaha AV reciever over HDMI which decodes the audio and video and spits it back out to my speakers and plasma TV. I know this system definately works with 5.1 DTS @1533kbps but I'm unsure about DTS-HD.

I did see about a year ago this little box that plugs into your soure device (I can't remember how) but I do remember it was like this media streaming device supporting pretty much every codec known to man and spits it out to your TV. It was basically designed to overcome the issue of owning a TV that doesn't support certain media file codecs over USB mass storage devices. So you used this and it worked. For the life of me I can't remember what it's called and I can't even find it anymore even by doing a google search. Sorry, but that's all I got.

***EDIT*** Apologies, I didn't see this thread spanned over 2 pages, I must of missed it somehow. My reply was only in knowledge of the first page only. I guess you can disregard my advice then, but I'll leave it there just incase it may help you or someone else in one way or another.
