4K looking a bit like a cartoon

Well on Saturday I was looking around for a new 1080p tv and in amongst the normal HD tv's you find some 4K one's showing 4K pictures and I was thinking to myself although the picture is very detailed it looked like a cartoon, this was the same for three makes on show, Sony, LG including a curved one and Samsung, anyway my 13yr old daughter then caught me up and without me saying anything about the picture and said she didn't like the tv pictures because they looked like a cartoon, then the misses comes from across the store and before we say anything she says hope your not thinking of buying any of them, it looks like your watching an animated film all the time.

Well 4K projectors certainly don't produce that effect - must be the settings on the TVs themselves.

I saw a 4K TV in Dubai last month and was amazed how good it is. I can only assume that the settings were set far too high, which is normal in a TV showroom. The other scenario is that it may not have been a 4K feed going into the TVs. Either way, you need to see one set up properly with a proper feed.
