I forgot to say, DLNA music streaming and dsd output for sacd disks would be preferable features.

The answer remains the same: Oppo BDP-93 & 95. http://www.oppo-bluray.co.uk/

Twin HDMI out blu-ray players are made by the manufacturers who do not make AV receivers. Other manufacturers will not put this feature in their blu-ray players as it will conflict with their interest of selling more AV receivers.

Although of course Panasonic did bring out an AVR last year (OK it was a bit of a dude) lol.

Thanks. So the next question is, are these players due to be replaced in the next 6 months?

No the 93 and 95 are new models from Oppo, and unlikely the big japanese manufacturers they have a longer lifecycle, i.e. They dont change them every 12 months.

Yes, Panasonic receivers weren't successful commercially. That's why their blu-ray players have twin HDMI outs.

The new Onkyo 3D Blu Ray player has twin HDMI outputs, but am still trying to find out if it plays SACDs. That would be the major point of interest for me with this player as otherwise its high-end credentials are a bit below par.

Onkyo makes an AV Receiver or two too. :)

Finally a manufacturer has seen sense & released a blu-ray player with twin HDMI outs despite having a successful AV receiver line up!

It doesn't play SACDs unfortunately.

BigBoss,

Shame. Especially as the new Onkyo gear does look really nice and solid, hewn from a slab of aluminium! Wonder why they left out SACD ro even DVD-A support, esp at that kind of price point . The Oppo will surely sell well with its spec sheet. I guess Onkyo is more mass consumer orientated due to its brand recognition and they don't see the Oppo as competition!

Guess I'll stick to my Sony SACD player and buy the Panasonic 310 for Blu-Ray duties as planned.

Didn't you want a player with twin HDMI out?

This has only 1 HDMI out.

This is a high end player with analogue out, so it will do.
