I was in my local panasonic shop to look at the new 330 blu ray player as my PS3 has broken down and i have never seen 3D on a TV before. I almost bought 1 of there 3D packages TV,3D blu ray & glasses, but went home to have a think about it.

I was impressed with 3D TV from both shops (panasonic / sony) but notice when watching football in 3D there was more depth which appeared to make the image smaller.

I then realised that both shops had you sit close to the TV (42") about a meter away which made the image from 3D TV a good size. Most people sit around 3 meters away from the TV so what size TV should we be getting and should these shop not be mention this ?

At 3m I'd say at least a 50in, maybe even something larger. To the extent that 3D interests me (ie not very much), I find it only really works if the screen more or less fills the field of vision, and there aren't any real 3D objects visible around it to confuse the eye. So that usually means a big screen, or room lights out, or both.

Very helpfull clp! I sit just over 3m away from my 3D TV which is 50" and I have no probs with seeing the effects properly, and the footie on Sky3D is probably what I watch the most. Hope that helps.
