Hi, if i was to conect a 3D Bluray player via HDMI to a 3D tv then conect the sound outputs from the blurayplayer to my onykyo 905 amp via optical or phono conections, would it work, also same question with sky HD box.

also if i conect a 3d souce to the jvc HD1 projector would i get a 3D picture or would this only work if the projector is a 3D projector.

thanks

EDIT- Though if the BD player has multi-channel analogue outputs and on-board HD decoding, that would work. Not sure if there are any 3D players with multi-channel analogues yet though...Or as Clare suggests the Panasonic with 2 HDMIs.

also same question with sky HD box.The Sky box will be fine since it only outputs DD 5.1 at best.

You would need a 3D projector.

Yep, Dave's right (as usual!)

If, however, you opt for Panasonic's DMP-BDT300 with its twin HDMI outputs, you can enjoy HD sound from your Onkyo and 3D picture to your new set.
