Hi all

Heard about backlight problems with the W550 and sue I also heard re lag. Similarly the new samsung 6000 series mentioned earlier dont seem great for games lag.

Any full hd tvs out ther (max 37inch) that people would recommend up to £1k budget.

Guess Im not too bothered about sound (due to av) and freesat capabilities due to my virgin subscription. Just interested in an excellent picture across all format types

Thanks

Pana P37X10B - not full HD BUT its plasma, so fast refresh rates brilliant picture. I've just got one and my PS3 look stunning on it! Make sure you get a decent HDMI cable though, its well worth the extra quids. On top of that your SD TV pics will look great too

Don't get too hooked up on 'I must have full HD' - a quality HD-ready screen will look better than a rubbish full HD - I know cos I saw them in the shop when I ended up buying this model!

I too would recomend having a Look at the Panasonic 37" Plaz as from my personal experience my Plasma sets have offered a far better gaming experience over them LCD sets I have used, especially when it comes to split-second timing that can be thrown out buy screen lag.

The 37" Panasonic plasmas are all excellent. Even though they are not full HD, they still look like they are full HD, and produce a picture that is much better than a lot of full HD LCDs that are out there. If you insist on full HD then two great LCDs are Panasonic's 37LZD800 and Pioneer's 37v. Both of these tvs produce beautiful full HD images and they both have a lovely glossy screen that makes them look a little bit more like a nice shiny glass plasma. They are both absolutely amazing with games, Blu-ray, Sky+HD and even SD stuff as well. In fact these two LCDs have some of the most impressive standard-def pics on an LCD or plasma that you can get. These are two top-notch tvs but if you want one then you'll have to be quick because they are both being discontinued very soon, if not already. The Panasonic will be replaced, but the Pioneer will not. Good luck.

funnily enough I was tempted both by the KR37v and the LZD800, both in the same shop with 5 yr guarantee. The KR picture did look great but remote menu a little weird reflecting what I heard was a Sharp in drag.

Could find nothing re gaming lag with both of these though

Thanks

Saw both the 37v and lzd800 in a shop with 5 year guaranteeds. The 37v picture did look great....but had erred away as potentially a Sharp in drag and the remote menu was weird.

Did not know re the gaming performance....so thanks for reminding me of these 2
