3.1 - Setup

So I'm renting a have one child under two and another one on the way.... joy. They seem to really like pulling apart the stereo and its speakers. I'm been wanting to get better sound for listening for music and have to compromise to 3.1 for movies (maybe even just left / right and sub)... but I wanted to know what people thought would be a good muscial reciever for listening to music and watching movies.

Re 3.1: Have you considered wall mountable speakers with wireless rears, still need power and cables, would allow for installation in rented accommodation with no cable routing.

What sort of budget are we talking about...

Speakers -- nothing really. I'm want some Kef iq30 / B+W 684 for the main speakers. I have a mission center but may get a matching B+W speaker..... not 100% sure. I have a older yamaha 5.1 at the moment which has outlived it useful life.

I'm debating a AV amp such as Denon 1910 or a similar Rotel. Wireless rears would be okay but I don't really want them at the moment.
