Hi All,

Happy 2014 to all.

I have been using Onkyo TX-NR 609 for DLNA Streaming of 16Bit/44.1 KHz and 24Bit/96KHz FLAC music files very happily for 3 years.

I am downloading 24Bit/192KHz music files but 609 will not play on DLNA.

What Onkyo Receiver of similar power do I need to stream 24Nit/192KHz material on DLNA?

It does not have to be the most recent models.

Any advice is most welcome.

Find somewhere where you can hear the 192 files and compare them with your 96 files, as its unlikely you will hear any difference, (Do the test blind) certainly no professionals use them.

If you can hear a difference (IE: You are not imagining it) then most modern receivers and streamers can play 192 files, so pick a budget and pop down to your local dealer for a listen, (Sound is personal and only by listening to a few can you make the right decision) however make sure your server software can deliver 192 files first. (Don’t forget to take into account the cost involved to upgrade, and ask is it really necessary?)

Hope this helps

Bill
