As you can see I'm new to this forum, this may be a bit of a silly question but I just bought myself a Samsung LE40B550 1080p/24fps. I know in the what Hi-Fi review it is stated that this TV is 24fps but I would like to know why it comes up as 24@hz. Am I puzzled towards this so can anyone enlighten me on what this means? Is this just Samsung's way of saying 24fps? If so, why? Many thanks.

In short: if you feed a 24 picture/sec to your tv, from say a blu-ray source, your tv should refresh it's picture in sync with that at 24Hz.

It seems like your tv is doing exactly that, so no worries.

thank you both for ur replies.... i just wanted to make sure that the tv i bought is 24p... now i have peace of mind i can relax... i hate it when that 1% has you wondering if you need to change or not.... thanks again boys...
