Hey all, I've been looking to get myself a 1080p set for use with my PS3/PC (for gaming) and to watch films etc. I've pretty much spent hours trolling the internet to get an idea of which is gonna be the best buy currently for my money (£600 - £700ish) and I'm confused to hell.

Mostly this set is going to be used with my PC, PS3 secondly and finally as a TV.

I need some recomendations (not plasma please as theres a very high chance it could be left for hours at a time)

I was looking at the toshiba 37xv503db as its a reasonable price etc, but would it do what I want??

Apologies in advance for "another" which TV question :p

Assuming you want a Full HD 37in LCD set, Panasonic's new TX-37LZD85 would fit the bill. You can read our exclusive online review here. A quick Google search shows you can get it for around £850.

Thanks I did read that review and it looks nice, however it would be stretching the budget somewhat. Would there be any others you could recommend that are nearly as good, only not nearly as expensive?

You might be able to pick up the Samsung LE37BR88BD, another five-star set, for around £600, but it's HD-ready, not Full HD - not that that necessarily matters on sub-42in screen sizes.

If I'm right in thinking the R88 sets are the Currys/Dixons only sets, then they are discontinued and we don't do them any more. You might find the odd one kicking around but in general we only do the new Samsungs now,
