More complicated than it seems. The straight and most obvious answer would be that our electrics have ground anyhow but that's not necessarily covering the subject. Tannoy, to name one is employing a fifth terminal on some of their speakers to provide grounding for their bass driver. Then there is star grounding etc etc. . One guy over at PFM just solved a problem with his old Exposure amp with 'star earthing'.
Much more intelligent folks than myself (not difficult to find) are in disagreement over what should be simple and easy.

DON'T 'just' start to connect extra wires from/to amps and other components.
