Fear Inoculum by Tool? moves the needle in terms of production and musicianship a little more than some of the beautifully bland wallpaper music selected?

8 years of effort by some of the finest musicians on earth, didn't make the list?

Also moves the game on in price. Eighty quid for a CD! I thought there was a fair bit of filler included, too.

Which tracks did you feel were filler?

In fact you get more content when streamed than on CD anyway. Arguably, the article was about music to test your system, not the price of a CD - they even provide Spotify/Tidal links in the article. So, perhaps that's a bit of a distraction?

The point being the musicianship, writing and production techniques far exceed quite a lot of the throw away immaculately presented utter nothingness suggested (promoted?) in the article.
