£300 AV receiver - Sony STR-DH810 or Onkyo TX-SR607

Which £300 receiver should I go for? New model Sony STR-DH810 or Onkyo TX-SR607 which was once a £500 receiver.

Or should I find the other £150 and go for the Denon AVR 1911?

The Onkyo is the better amp between the two, in my opinion.

People on this forum have paid less than £300 for a Marantz NR1501. Paid 400 for mine and well happy with that.

Not 3d though if thats important.

Yes but the marantz is really only for small speakers, if thats what the OP is going for as only 50w per chanel, mine is 130w and its a 250.00 pioneer vsx819

Oh you can get the denon 1910 for less than 350.00 now as well.

sevenoaks 349.00 and frank harvey had some at 319 but they might have gone by now
