buy used. 4x the value, and you can resell with liittle to no loss if you decide you don't like them. And listen to see what sort of sound you like, and if you're not sure buy a brand you've heard of and that gets good reviews.....

6x5m with vaulted ceiling. Current sub is a bit weekly esp for SFX and most movie soundtracks..... Hard to try things at the mo so extracting the wisdom of the internet.....

With a set budget, would you buy two less good subs, or one better one - and why? facing this dilemma.....

There's too little content to make the premium worth paying. For most, they won't see a difference either - so I can';t see it taking off fro a long time.

My current AV system has Ruark Preludes front left/right (roughly £900 a pair when new about 15 years ago) , Ruark Vita centre and sub (no idea but prob about £1k for 5.1 package), rears are Epilogues. Are current Monitor Audio silver series a likely step up from this? Sort of similarity price...
