I'd definitely look at the BE65's then unless you want to spend a lot more going to another brand. If you don't want the cost of replacing them all at once, do the critical ones 1st as the X50's will work with the others .... or just do the critical ones and use the X50's in the "lesser" needed...

I was literally about to swich from Tidal to Qobuz as if you're using the App on Windows, Tidal often doesn't see the available devices / streamers and I'm sure when I trialled Qobuz towards the end of last year, it wouldn't see groups on Qobuz Connect but you could see Chromecast groups ...

No it wouldn't affect it as the commands come from the network, not IR. I didn't suggest that as OP wants to use a USB for media and not sure if his current amp has that option, the Mini doesn't but I believe the Pro does.

Why not keep your existing amp and just add a streamer to do all the bits your amp doesn't do, one of the WiiM range would probably be best if you use Amazon Music and as your amp has a DAC could probably look at something like the WiiM Pro.

Thought you could have a laugh at my expense .... I was trying to listen to 80 Hz tones and I couldn't hear them and I'm thinking .... I know my hearing's not great but surely I should easily be able to hear those so went up to 100 Hz, then110 Hz .... thought I'll go a lot higher and tried 250...

I'm about to move away from Tidal, I really like the App on a PC but they have a major issue with it seeing devices especially Bluesound, which in essence means you want to play music and you can't. I've raised support tickets that are replied to by AI and don't cover the issue you've raised at...
