Not sure if you realise but they're "mono" amplifiers so you need a pair of them and an appropriate cable in which case they'd work well .... if you only want a single amp their ZA3 may be a better choice. I'm guessing you already have speakers or will you be looking for those as well?

I think OP's issue might be not using very expensive speaker cable.

I was going to sugget the same as @DiggyGun ... to get a streamer. It also makes it more convenient that your laptop doesn't have o be wired to your DAC and if you connect the streamer to the same network as your laptop it shoul dbe able to find any music stored on it. Even a WiiM mini would...
