My neighbour had the Gen2 and an Icon to compare about 6 months ago before deciding which to buy ..... he's still got the Icon. He did like the Eversolo as well but his comments were it was mind blowingly good with some tracks but really not so with others and as such had a love / hate...

I don't think it's just about measurements alone, I think they all add a different "flavour" to the sound which makes it unique to them ... most DACs will have different filters which changes the sound again and that's the one DAC that measures the same. It's also no different to any other...

Are you using analogue or optical out in the CCA .... from memory I think if you're using analogue it caps it but if optical it automatically goes to the highest level it can up to 24/96. That said it could be to do with Spotify but just thought it worth mentioning in case.

Cheers for that .... I know the WiiM devices have always shown up on the network and can see them all now, I don't remember ever seeing the Bluesound devices in there although I've never consciously looked before and you can't see it from there now. I've also just tried Tidal from the machine...
