Get a DH LABS optical on ebay from an Estonian seller it beats( in my opinion) Chord optichord and Van den hul optocoupler hands down and is more natural at the same time.Otherwise look at the glass optical cables. All the best.

I know hugo is made for portable use but it shows up as well in a high end setup as a main dac.

I need a high end dac for my main system and have choosen these two based on the informations found online as well as had some experience with arcam cd players and chord mojo which i really liked.

You could try biamping your marantz with either abrahamsen and hypex then make your mind up .

Hi gasolin.Thanks for sugestion.I am using some kefs r700 at the moment (they not quite cheap either) with nord hypex nc500 dual mono so i think it should do for now.But in future -who knows....
