Hi James As Nicolas says, the Sonos could do what you want, assuming we're talking iPod Touch not Classic? There is a line in on the Connect which you could use for your CD player and then the iPod Touch could send music wirelessly to the Sonos

I was on the "Big Question" panel (with JoelSim and BobG) when WHF did 3D and Smart TV Said then it would never catch on. Excellent as a gimmick but in normal viewing there are many depth clues in a picture that don't need 3D. For spectacle wearers it was always going to be a pain.

Does your expensive piece of kit not have a user forum where you could research and question other users? Sonos and Oppo, for example, have a wealth of user opnion and knowledge available.

Why not just a Connect:Amp and a set of speakers? Keeps the box count down and it's a good amp if you're not looking to connect other items, e.g. CD player

Will be really tedious though if the record finishes when you're in another room. Not sure the idea will catch on :)
