    I'm Totally Into Quad

I did purchase the Involve Audio decoder. It does SQ, QS and stereo, and outputs in quad or 5.1 surround. It performs as good as or better than the legendary Audionics Space and Image Composer. A good value.

    I'm Totally Into Quad

Yeah, not a lot of new music available on Quad, regardless of the format of the medium. One artist released a QS LP, that comes with a QS decoder circuit board. But most people wouldn't know what to do with a circuit board. It was pretty expensive as I recall. Not sure what kind of music it...

    I'm Totally Into Quad

The Quad LP's are still around, and can be found on Ebay. If you're into 70's music, which I am, you can amass quite a collection of them. Some of these recordings are released on modern formats such as SACD and DVD Audio. I guess those are considered dead formats as well, but material is still...

I am aware of QuadraphonicQuad, which I am a member of, and it's about all things multichannel (music). I ran across this one, and registered to...

    Quadraphonic Recordings?

OK, I will see if there are any more up to date threads on this subject. However, my involvement in quad is not experimental. It's dedicated. I was just browsing through the rules and noticed the rule about not resurrecting old threads. I will try to adhere to that. Although I am curious as to...

    Quadraphonic records and equipment

The absolute authority on quadraphonic is the QuadraphonicQuad .com forum. To do quad would require 4 identical speakers for best sound, two stereo amplifiers, and a decoder for the quad format you're playing, and a turntable. If it's CD-4, you'll need a special cartridge with a linear contact...

    Quadraphonic Recordings?

I bought into quadraphonic sound at the end of the era. about 1978. I have maintained it ever since. I used separate stereo amplifiers and the appropriate decoders and other quad gear. I later added a third amp so I could include modern SACD and DVD Audio, and now Blue Ray. All are good. Of the...
