High jitter levels perhaps? Try changing the "jitter rejection" setting to medium or high bandwith if you haven't done so already.

Depends a little what you're after. I'd say the five albums from Meddle to The Wall are all essential, but if you're into more psychedelic stuff, the earlier records are also great.

Unless you want to track down one of the early/mid 80's Harvest CD's (particularly the German release), I'd say the newest remaster is the way to go. They are very good overall, though The Wall was probably the one I was least impressed with.

Nope. Both the DAC and the player must be DSD compatible to be able to play SACD's. DSD DAC's are very rare.

I feel it's time to upgrade my Dynaudio's, and a dealer nearby happens to have a pair of demo TB2i Signature's for sale at about £950 and I'm sorely tempted. Are there any other speakers that can compete with them at that price? I'm looking for something a little bigger than the Dyns this time...

FLAC is a lossless format, so if ripped and encoded properly, it should sound identical to any other lossless format. It's more compressed though compared to WAV for example, so you'll get smaller files.

Would be nice to see some reviews of Atoll Electronique equipment. Extremely popular in France apparently, especially the amps, but pretty much ignored everywhere else. I bought their DAC without ever hearing about the brand, just because I found it better than anything in the same price range...

You can use any cable you want as long as it's got banana plugs. There's no regular screw terminals though.
