Sorry yea, Planar 3 is my deck of choice, so I have about £1400 or so for the amp and speakers, as for travelling to listen, I will go where it takes to ensure I get the 'right' set up and there is plenty of choice around the Liverpool Manchester area.

Thanks for the above, things have moved on a little, I have 2k to play with now, still want the RP3 but the amp and speakers are open to debate, bluetooth idea is a none starter now. There are so many tales of mismatched equipment I would appreciate some ideas as to the 2 remaining components...
