Oh dear, sounds like all the vinyl may have melted by the time I get down there *blum3* Just discovered Sister Ray online. Looks promising.

    Record store recommendations - London

A last minute trip to London has been arranged for this weekend so I'm hoping to get a little time to peruse some vinyl (and maybe some CDs). So, can anyone recommend some stores. I'll be staying in central London (near Euston) and as time will be tight I don't want to have to spend too much...

What vinyl are you listening to?

And I'll be there. Had a conversation recently about under-rated guitarists. Kristin Hersh was top of my list. One hesitates to suggest her gender has any part to play in her incredible guitar craft being overlooked, I prefer to think it is simply over-shadowed by her even greater songwriting art.

What vinyl are you listening to?

The very definition of 'all killer, no filler'. A perfect compilation LP, 5 singles on each side from their birth to their peak. Over 30 years later and I've never been tempted to get another Siouxsie compilation.

What vinyl are you listening to?

For some long forgotten reason my copy of this is an American import on the Virgin Venture label rather than Factory :? , regardless, it sounds wonderful.

    Arcam FMJ A19 standby issues

    Modern vinyl is rubbish?

I suppose those are the answers that I didn't want to hear. A clear cut 'good' or 'bad' would make future purchases so much simpler, now I'm going to have to consider each purchase carefully. :? Interesting to hear that there are good copies out there. I'll give it another spin and see if I can...

    Modern vinyl is rubbish?

Hi . Thanks for the welcome. I used "Worst Case Scenario" when auditioning an amp and speakers to go with the Pro-ject, it is a great album. I'm loathe to return vinyl. As an advocate of real record stores I don't want to do anything which may even slightly impinge on their slim...

    Modern vinyl is rubbish?

Yes, all that stuff, though I haven't peeled off the labels yet. All good fun but at the end of the day I want to listen to and enjoy the music and I'm afraid the noise, pops & clicks is getting in the way just a bit too much. Do you think a clean might improve things? I'm inclined to think...

    Modern vinyl is rubbish?

Hi all, Been browsing the forum since getting a new Pro-ject Debut Carbon for christmas and have been thoroughly enjoying all my old vinyl, I'd forgotten how good it could sound. The temptation to buy some new vinyl has been strong but the ridiculous cost has been enough to prevent me...
