Which TV would you buy at the moment?

Apart from being totally biased as I have no money and hence not even thinking - let alone looking - for a new TV, the simple answer is none. Have my two year old and a bit Panasonic 42GT30 and it still makes me go....WOW!!! :)

How To Increase The Volume Of MP3 Files

Hey Steve!!!.....I really do appreciate your time for the walk through with that!!! I've used LAME along with EAC in the past so I'm not unfamiliar with it, but I'll leave it a few days until I've got some proper time to myself to give it a go. If it doesn't do the job then it's definitely...

How To Increase The Volume Of MP3 Files

Hi, and thanks for the pointer. I did try it from your suggestion (as I have others) without any effect. The problem has occurred since updating from JB 4.3 to KK 4.4.2 where the messaging tone is now pretty inaudible, even with the stock tones. It's obviously a bug within the software but I...

How To Increase The Volume Of MP3 Files

Hi Steve, and many thanks for the reply. I had thought of Audacity and looked at it again and thought....WHOA! Essentially I just want the ability to increase the volume of ringtone files which I've already created as simply as possible and Audacity really doesn't look as though it fits the...

How To Increase The Volume Of MP3 Files

Is there a simple way for a simpleton to increase the volume of an MP3 file? Since an OS update to my phone notification volumes – specifically messaging – have become considerably lower and barely audible (a potential known issue), so looking at this as a possible fix. Many thanks.

    Rega Elicit R - Happy

REGA have “let you down”? I suggest you read the posts in the TV forum on Panasonic plasmas if you want to know what being “let down” really means. Your wobbly TT platter? - resolved. Issue with your amp? - will be resolved (if you want it to be, of course). When I had an issue with a loud...

    Rega Elicit R - Happy

Which is exactly what I did with a buzzing Brio-R. They authorised an exchange with the dealer without having to have it tested first. Couldn't fault the service.

    High contrast LED

Simply put the contrast ratio is the difference between the brightest image a TV can produce against the darkest which is no indication of how bright the whites are or how deep the blacks are, so in a number of ways its rather pointless.

    Which Android phone?

With regards to Vodafone - as I've just checked - their coverage checker says "There is no 4G planned for this area". This is Stratford-upon-Avon, not the sticks, but all the networks IME tell you nothing. Edit: Unless you're possibly already on their network maybe.

    Which Android phone?

The problem is the networks don't tell you when 4G is going to be available in your area, they just "announce" that its happened In the meantime I picked up a Moto G over Christmas to see what all the fuss was about and I'm loving it!

    Blu ray and headphone amps

Hi, not a criticism but a question as to why you’re saying the DAC is not quite a “cinema sound experience”? Firstly, you’re listening in two channel stereo clamped around your ears. God knows how many channels they have flying around in a modern day cinema as I haven’t been to one for years...
