Help with HDR Content on LG OLED 55B6V

Thank you. Think i sorted it now though. I don't think Netflix broadcast in HDR only Dolby Vision. I found a HDR program on Amazon and the TV switches to show a HDR signal received. My misunderstanding I think.

Help with HDR Content on LG OLED 55B6V

Hi everyone. I'm after a bit of help regarding HDR content on my new LG TV. I'm using the TV's Netflix app which i know can stream content in both 4K HDR and 4K Dolby Vision. However, I don't appear to be able to get the HDR content to work. The TV should detect it automatically. When you...

AV Amp for Monitor Audio Apex

Thanks for the replies. I'm just considering things at the moment and was mainly wondering whether the better Amp might just be a waste of money. It doesn't sound like it will be. I might not move away from Pioneer. Still considering options.

AV Amp for Monitor Audio Apex

Hi everyone. Was wondering what people's thoughts were on partnering a new AV Amp with my Monitor Audio Apex speakers. I'm thinking of changing Amp again from a Pioneer VSX-LX55 (2011 model). I'm considering two of this years What HiFi winners. The top of range Yamaha RX-A3060 or the Yamaha...

    DENON AVR X2200W Bass problems

I use to have a Denon Amp years ago. From memory there was a setting that reduced the the base for night time. Does the amp have that setting. If so switch it off and fingers crossed? It was a setting in the dynamic audio and it had night setting in there from memory

    Upgrading Pioneer VSX-LX55 AV Receiver

I'll love Pioneer AV receivers so for the sake of this topic let's assume I am going to upgrade to the latest equivalent Pioneer model. I know things move on very quickly in the world of entertainment equipment so my question is if I were to upgrade to the latest equivalent model do you think I...

    What 5.1+ Receiver

I used to own the Pioneer LX55 with Keff Eggs. I couldnt fault it. I still own the amp but have Apex speakers now. Apex are much better but then again they are much more expensive. Before that I used to have a Denon amp. Again this was good and it also had a nighttime setting which lowered the...

    Best 5.1 setup

Big thumbs up for the Pioneer amps too from me, I love mine with MA speakers but like above its best to listen to one if you can. What sounds good to me might sound awful to you. I had a Denon amp previously and whilst that was great at the time the Pioneer Amp is much better for me.

    Best 5.1 setup

I know what you mean. My RX8's look amazing either side of the TV and I love the look of the Apex for the surrounds. The RX8's are big speakers though. The depth alone is about 30cm, slightly more with the plinths and they stand tall too. But they look the business! Mine aren't placed too close...

    Best 5.1 setup

Also, if choosing the Apex then the Yamaha 1030 would be perfectly good enough. I have the Pioneer LX55. I hardly ever have it pumping out sound at levels its actually capable of although I have cranked it up very loud.... mainly when the wife and dog are out and yes it sounds great. Peronally...

    Best 5.1 setup

That would sound good in my opinion but wouldn't it then be better to stick to RX for the surround backs as well? I know your mainly interested in movies so why not choose the RXFX for the back or sides. I think the Apex speakers are nicer looking system especially for the surround speakers...

    First time system recommendations

Have you considered a Sound Bar. I have a Sonos for my TV upstairs and this is great for me. It is connected via Optical cable. The downside to the Sonos is there isnt a HDMI in connection. However, I am certain some of the other makes do offer HDMI and some get quite good reviews.

    First time system recommendations

Have a look at the Boston Acoustics speakers. They got a good review on here and my brother has them. They sound good with a Onkyo amp he has. As far as amps go assuming the £500 is for speakers and amp then all the main makes do good entry level amps. As long as there enough HDMI ins for the...
