Question Where would you buy your TV from?

Thanks. I’m not likely to change my mind but do value good customer service. That’s why of course you said buy it online. I’ve got a John Lewis price match in but richer sounds say supplies are erratic but I’m not paying £950 today for something that was £850 yesterday.

Question Where would you buy your TV from?

Well i'm now ready to buy my new TV. Normally if the prices were the same i would go to John Lewis, then Currys then Richer sounds. Not for any real reason based on previous experience just perceived customer service. The first two have taken the TV out of the sale and it is £100 more now. At...

Question Putting the TV sound through my Naim

Thats a good call although if i could get away with one box i would. I remember seeing a wireless arcam dac years ago that would do the streaming but wondered if it could handle the TV as well. The two box option is perfectl feasible.

New floorstanding speakers for medium room please (under £2000)

Sorry meant x2 not k2. They are fine, no problems with low volume. They are recommended with naim on their forum and i love them. Well built and small. Mine are close to the wall without any problems, there is a downwards port for the bass. Tested these against the small floor speakers which...

Question Putting the TV sound through my Naim

99% of the time the dac would be used for the tv and would imagine that the £10 one that was shown above would be fine for that. Currently the tv is supplying the analogue conversion. I have the cdi naim system not the five figure naim kit!! I stream rarely as I’m still a cd guy. I’m currently...

Question Putting the TV sound through my Naim

Hi all. I currently have RCA connectors going from my TV straight into the RCA input on the back of my Naim amp to get the sound to go through my speakers. I'll be replacing the TV shortly and RCA out are not on any of the tv's on my shortlist. I have the option of optical or ARC hdmi. I guess...

Wall Mounting a TV in a Conservatory

I've just been looking on the Samsung website and they recommend having the height of the TV at 42 inches to the centre. Theres a big difference between that and the 56 recommended above and by other websites. Which is correct what do you have yours set at at home? Is there any chance that...

Wall Mounting a TV in a Conservatory

Thanks for all the advice. I have question on which tv to buy but that can wait for another day. So my two tv options are 43 or 48 inch. Using 56 inches to the centre for a 42 inch tv there is 11 inches below the centre line and the bottom of the tv is 45 inches from the ground. With a 48 inch I...

Wall Mounting a TV in a Conservatory

Ive solved the heating issue. There is a 64cm gap between the top of the heater and where the bottom of the tv will be. The heater isn’t directly under the tv but 25 cm will be but the portion that is underneath it is blanked off so won’t be a problem. I’ve used the 56 inch centre position above...

Wall Mounting a TV in a Conservatory

Ok so ive chosen a TV, probably a 43 inch Samsung, and need to fit that and a electric convector heater on the same wall. I've worked out that if i site the TV at the height recommended it will be 64cm from the top of the heater to the TV and the heater will overlap it by 25cm. The conservatory...
