I still have my VT, in the bedroom now but still an amazing TV!!

I own both the VT 10 years old and OLED now 5 years old Panasonic, and both have amazing pictures. The VT is great for sky viewing in the bedroom. I’m now looking at a new TV for the main room and want DV and HDR10+ so it looks like it will be Panasonic again… I know there are other brands...

This was mine: Toshiba 36” CRT, Samsung 709 DVD, Linn speaker, B&W centre, Mission surrounds and a demon 5.1 AVR can’t remember the model, pioneer sub and teletewest TV box! Picture of the setup in my avatar…

I can totally understand why you would keep your PDPs, they are still outstanding TVS with fantastic pictures. I shall too keep my VT PDP until it dies :)

I went to the TV shoot out at Leeds and BB was there too, the ZT just only clipped/won over the LG Oled whiich was a 1080p TV. I still own my VT plasma( in the bedroom), calibrated by Vincent and it does not have a patch on my FZ 4K Oled Panny which was also calibrated by Vincent. It’s night...

Is anyone else feeling the same? Got my UB9000 and kev R50s up for sale, and just not interested anymore and even thinking of selling the full system, and bringing my Panny plasma back from our bedroom into the living room and getting a sound bar!!

Had a catch-up with the Doctor today, and all good with kidneys etc, and no side affects ! Was advised to stay on 20mg for now and going to review in a few months because my cholesterol could go up. Although, I am losing weight by eating healthier and me and the wife go walking a few miles...

Been on statins, 20mg and cholesterol was 7.2, now down to 4.3 after just 1 month. Talking to doc to see if reducing dosage is feasible.

The 820 is a good player, and is quiet. It also has the hdr optimiser the same as the 9000. Just not as good build quality or the RCAs

So what do you think to it? Will it be a game changer?

I’m putting my Panasonic 9000 on eBay, can’t see the point no difference to a £300 player and don’t use it for playing CDs
