Internal speakers work OK.Making the dac the default audio device seems to make no difference, the sound still comes from the internal speakers. Bear in mind this problem is not just on 1 PC. It appears to be a W10 problem.

Still does not work!Hoping that if CA bother to reply it may be the firmware problem but I doubt it.Looks like this device just does not work with windows 10.

I appreciate what has been said about Norton but....I disabled it and downloaded the correct driver for the DAC from the CA website.It downloaded OK but my laptop still does not see the device.Tried another laptop running W10 and that is the same.Borrowed an older PC with Vista and that works...

As soon as I attempt to open the exe file, norton reports as unsafe and removes it. it appears that Norton does not like the Cambridge Audio site despite the fact I have visited it numerous times in the past with the same Norton product. Strange.

Hello, wondering if anybody has this problem. After buying a new laptop, running windows 10, my cambridge Audio Dacmagic is playing up. The PC just does not see it. Aware I need the latest driver (v3.26) I have had difficulty in getting to the Cambridge Audio website as my Norton anti virus...

The Roksan M2 is around £2000, but I have just found one in Birmingham for £1600!,an open box item.I may try to get to hear it along with other that this dealer has.Thanks everyone for your thoughts and now I will start to get my head in gear and get listening.

Thanks. I owned a Creek amp a few years ago and loved it. Of course Creek and Epos come from the same stable so do work well together.My main reason for looking at the Arcam was that it has a MM input which can be switched to Line input giving me an extra input, it has 2 sets of speaker...

My budget is around £1500 give or take a bit. Other contenders would be the Creek destiny, Roksan k3 or possibly Rega Elicit _r but that maybe a little too "forward" for my taste
