Thanks daveh75 and Laserman16 I reset this morning and the DMR has x2 BBC HD's again. I took digi-photos of the TV and DMR settings before doing the reset which helped getting things back to previous settings. Cheers Richard

Hello Would a shipping condition reset on the Panny DMR wipe out recordings? The TV came back to life after a shipping reset, so thanks for that tip.

Hi Daveh, I can find Ch4 HD on manual tune on my Panny 46PZ81, but I can't seem to save it. I used CH 130 that did not have a channel, then went to menu etc. When I scan it picks up C4HD and I can see a picture but when press return or exit it is not saved. I should look at the manual.. any...

I bought some F-connectors to add another run of Webro twin 63-008a cable to my dish however the internal diameter of the connector is too large and they won't screw on tight - my fault as I thought connectors were the same size. I read that you can make the cable diameter wider by putting tape...

This solution may be obvious (it wasn't to me!) but worth a mention as I had a similar experience after buying a panasonic freesat recorder /blu ray with picture quality was far lower than the freesat tuner in the panasonic TV. I eventually solved it by matching TV picture settings for HDMI 1...

Just to say I sorted the problem. I didn't realise I had to match the TV picture settings for HDMI 1 input to what I had for TV. I thought TV controlled everything - anyhow both inputs now identical.

Thanks for the suggestions - I was a bit vaugue, but probably up to £200. I'll be watching a mix of DVDs and TV, but no blueray yet and no immediate rush to buy one. The effect from the last TV was OK, so maybe powered speakers are the best option re cost and requirements.
