How much coffee or tea do you drink in a day?

I would (had one in the past), but then that adds in some washing up. Milk in a cup, microwave whilst the coffee beans grind and I prep the portafilter. Then whack in the coffee and I'm done in 2 minutes and don't have extra stuff to wash up. #efficientorlazy

How much coffee or tea do you drink in a day?

I'm a coffee rather than tea guy, and drink a lot of water throughout the day too. My coffee routine is weird. First cup of the day is only ever instant as I'm making it whilst still in a zombie-state. Second is a cafetiere and the third will be some sort of latte equivalent from our fancy Sage...

    Naim Nait 50 Anniversary

Now you too can enjoy the ongoing saga of "is it on or off?" with that bright power light, even on standby  Fortunately it goes into a standby mode after about 20 minutes if it isn't in use.

    Naim Nait 50 Anniversary

I *love* mine, but would have been furious if I'd paid the initial RRP and then see Naim knock off £1,500. They clearly misjudged the demand / price ratio initially but I think the current price is very fair. It sounds fun and fantastic, and has a wonderful user experience with proper clicky...

    National Album Day 2025 - 18th October

Yet another one of these coming up! This time jumping on the old Black Friday bandwagon. Looks like the theme is Live music and I'm not overly interested but might look out for the B.B. King and The Doors LPs. https://www.recordstoreday.co.uk/black-friday

    Best compact headphone listening solution?

The new V2 Classics are highly regarded but really I don't think I'll enjoy closed-backs having jumped from closed DDs to open planars. More research and auditioning is needed!

Oof. The strings on Zombie are exquisite.

    Best compact headphone listening solution?

These FT7s are clouding my judgement of what the "back-up" pair should be. These FiiO's are superb to my ears - great feelings of detail, huge horizontal (if perhaps not vertical) space, comfort, zero brightness. The only downside is that the adjustments to the band size are a bit crap, but I...

    Your Song/Track of the Day

This is a pretty spectacular 6 minutes or so. I'm going to have listen to more from this ensemble. View: https://youtu.be/EktIqs9Ness?si=j92gZI_3nMV9sqMu

    Best compact headphone listening solution?

Hmm. My procrastination about a second set of headphones for the downstairs system has me seriously considering the Aune AR5000. They fit the sound profile I want and seem to offer a lot of value for what would only be a pair to listen to occasionally. EDIT: But I've now seen enough reports of...

    Best compact headphone listening solution?

Yeah, it's not my view but certainly that of one or two on my Ignore List  Am I right in looking at your signature to assume that you've basically got two separate headphone setups and three sets of headphones on rotation between both systems?

    Best compact headphone listening solution?

My sole criticism of the K13 is that the remote is not good. Very plasticky and on occasions the button mapping seems to be confused. I suspect that not much money was spent on that part of the package.

    Best compact headphone listening solution?

To be honest: I doubt it. They're not miles apart price-wise and we're always told that all DACs sound the same, and I'm sure many apply the same base logic to DAC & Amp combos.....
