    New- Musical Fidelity M6 Encore 225 - all-in-one system.

Unless I missed it the Cyrus Lyric Stealth doesn't have internal HDD storage though? And the price seems to land at about the same in my country. So, if the above is correct the MF unit offer more for around the same money.

WOW! Never knew of the KW250... what a beast indeed! (and quite the beauty too!) The new Encore 225 seem almost puny by comparison?

Thanks David, but what did you mean by "...in the future"? If one purchases the unit shouldn't I be able to switch out the default harddrive unit with an SSD by yourself at will? Or perhaps it doesn't work that way?

I wonder if it'll accept SSD?

Fantastic! Looking forward to this one! Never thought MF would take this all-in-one step honestly. Love the HDD-part.

    Kef T-205 - for music?

Once again - have you considered Focal Dome? Style package not as pricey as Apex but still very good with movies and music. More capable than the T-series IMO. There is a great review of them on this very site in fact. http://www.whathifi.com/focal/dome-51/review

Is it better to split Audio & Video from twin HDMI outputs on blu ray player?

If anything, I'd say it's a smart solution in certain set-up's where one wants to route the signals separately for whatever reason. Let's say you have a receiver that can't handle 3D or 4K picture signals - you can then route audio from one HDMI output to the receiver and the other HDMI output...

Hey you, great to hear from you! Thanks a lot! Glad you think so! They mesh quite well with the whiteness of the room. Good thing is I can order new prints for these when I tire of the motif. You are correct in that most people, even folks who've come to visit, don't even realise they are...

Is it better to split Audio & Video from twin HDMI outputs on blu ray player?

Hardly. Unless your receiver have issues dealing with the digital picture signal and sending it back through it's output it won't affect it either way. I've never noticed any discernible differences splitting the sound/video via HDMI.

Glad to be back! With one temporarily mothballed speaker system and another favorite making a welcome return I just had to jump back in here! Glad you still have yours and that they're playing like a dream (as if I'm surprised...! lol). All the best!

Thanks very much! Dual AW-12's do a considerably better job over a single unit in my listening space. I had the huge Ken Kreisel DXD-12012 subwoofer in my tricky room earlier and even though it's a proven beast I could not squeeze the best out of it. Front-firing units work a lot better here...

Nice to still see some action around the club! Going back to this system turned out an absolute delight with dual AW12's and the NAD separates!

    Help to place speakers

From what I've heard DTS:X will allow a more flexible speaker placement for immersive audio, compared to the more 'strict' recommendations by Dolby Atmos so I guess your best hope is to lean towards that format for this particular installation. That said, I'm no expert on immersive audio and...
