    Welcome to the new whathifi.com!

I do hate being negative but I am unlikely to use this site all the while it is so slow and while everything is huge. Can it not just be a normal forum layout like this one for example? It almost seems custom designed when perfectly adequate templates are out there being used every day? Again...

    Welcome to the new whathifi.com!

Wow, this site suddenly got old-school! It looked quite modern until today, now it generally looks very 90's. The font seems pretty awful. Sorry to have to say it. I can see the reasoning as it wasn't too great on a tablet, keep up the work guys :) (No idea why the font changed, I thought...

Moving TV to the wall - still have bookshelf speakers...

Going back to this thread. The fireplace is coming out and the TV is going about half way up, good deal :) Still looking at the 7000's but right now we rarely have to have the sub on as the AE's go pretty low anyway. With the 7000's, is it going to be more or less necessary to have a sub active?

    Samsung UE50H6400 and UE48H6400

Is the Samsung UE50H6400 the same as the UE48H6400 but just larger? I posted a question in the review but I am not sure if it ever gets looked at. Just wondering really. Is the 48 inch a new screen type as the review suggests? I tried to make a comparison on the Sammy site but there is...

utterly confused over new tv choices

This article might help or as in my case, confuse things a little more. Literally just googled how noticable input lag is. I have an old Sharp TV and although it says the lag is 5ms I seriously doubt it! I don't play FPS's though, I'm more of a Nintendo guy so I don't think it would matter much...

utterly confused over new tv choices

From what I understand and what is swaying me towards the Sony also, is that they have the lowest lag and are therefore most suited to gaming. Honestly I'm not sure if I would notice the difference!

utterly confused over new tv choices

Go large :) Consider the Sony KLD50W829 too, 800 or less at most places now, also with a sound bar. I am in the same boat as you and looking at the Sammy 48 and the Sony. Also not interested in 3D or smart features as we have it all in other boxes. As I am into gaming, really I am waiting for...

    Sony KDL-50W705B

Check out the HDTV test, also lacks some motion processing. No idea how important that is :) I don't need 3D either so this is a consideration for me too!

Looking to upgrade an old Sharp LCD TV

I'm not so worried about stars, finding it tough to compare them in store, maybe I need a proper AV shop. Currys etc are useless. Check out the Sharp info here, maybe they used to measure it differently...

Looking to upgrade an old Sharp LCD TV

I have a question :) We have a sharp Aquos LC-46XL2E, used for Freeview HD, blu-ray and 1080p gaming. Looking to upgrade, mainly as it seems like we could get a far more vibrant TV now, the blacks on ours are grey and it is pretty smudgy anytime the image moves sidewards, and to think it cost...

    KDL50W829 vs KDL50W829B - any difference?

Cool, thank you very much :) The have it listed with the B on their site too but the ones that come with free blu-ray players (ebay ready, haha) are all without.

    KDL50W829 vs KDL50W829B - any difference?

Just perusing the site and looking at prices I found that Richer sounds have this Sony TV listed with and without a 'B' on the end. What is the difference? http://www.richersounds.com/products/home-cinema/lcd-and-plasma/lcd-led-oled-tvs#7
