That isn't correct David. The N50 and N30 use both the same AK4480 192kHz DAC (also used in their high-end blu-ray players). The N50 has a second transformer, better bottom plate, digital inputs and an asynchronous USB DAC for PC playback. But if that all matters in sound quality for netradio...

This is the only test/reviews i could find of the same hifi-magazine on internet. It's from Belgium, and they tested the A50 and the A70 (i'm Dutch so i translated it for you all) ;) A50 gets 4,5 star out of 5 and this is what they say: -precise, detailed and lively sound, good stereo image...

+1 Give them a good heavy stand, let's say Dreadnoughts (fill them 3/4 with birdsand or Atabites) or similar good stand. Toe them in a little bit:; less then 10 degrees. Give them some space, and with a decent amp they will sound fantastic. If they sound dull, shrill, not open, harsh etc...

Yep, i heard the A30 with the PD50 and a pair of Focals and the sound was great.....even i don't like Focal speakers ;)

Correctly set up is very important. Give them a decent heavy stand and blu-tack these babies on it. Just toe them in a little (max 10 grades). Use a good amp for feeding them (not to analytic and enough watts: 75 or more) and they will rock your socks off. O....and almost forget: give them some...
