    Aerials for Marantz NA 7004

As a part of renovating my house I am having new aerials fitted. The freeview aerial is no problem. The problem is do I need separate FM and DAB aerials? The aerial company has said that a DAB aerial will receive FM signals as well as DAB ones. Is this correct? If so how do I connect to the...

    Loudspeaker Dollies for Floorstanders

Sorry for duplicate post. My first post which I lost was:- Good Morning I have an awkward layout in my lounge and also to keep the wife happy I am considering mounting my Q Acoustics 2500i floorstanders on ready made dollies which are about 18 inches square and are on 3 inch nylon castors...

    Loudspeaker Dollies for Floorstanders

Thanks for your very prompt reply. Could be the one with wheels .I have seen those on line also and there are some general dollies about 18 inches square like the 2 last pictues on this website http://www.dollytrucks.co.uk/?gclid=CMj_x4rDtLwCFUQUwwodTRgAFA Or I could make some myself with some...

Marantz pm6005 enough power for floorstander?

Having both Marantz PM6004 and Q Acoustics 2050i's I can confirm that they work fine together and the PM6005 has a similar output. Normal listening levels are I understand under 12 o'clock on the volume control and I usually listen at about 10 o'clock. More than 12 o'clock then you might be OK...

    Vinyl setup for ~£600?

I am a firm believer in that if you want three things you spend a third of your money on each item. So I would suggest Project Essential 2 turntable. Marantz PM6004 amplifier and Q Acoustics 2020i speakers. With a bit of shopping around they they should be about budget. The PM6004 has a good...

Meridian 506 sold bought Marantz cd6004 where the Bass go.

All I can say is that my Marantz CD6004 has plenty of bass through my Marantz PM6004 amplifier and Q Acoustics 2050i floorstanders. I think it must be how you have connected your system together. I keep my hi-fi separate from my TV : that is my wife's department!. I have DVD & Blu Ray players in...

Stereo amp advice needed to pair off with Q Acoustics 2050i

I really don't have a problem with people spending more on equipment. It was just a thought on pricing. I am over the moon with my system because it represents such a leap forward over what I had before, thats all.

Stereo amp advice needed to pair off with Q Acoustics 2050i

I think that this has been mentioned before on this forum but budget amplifiers such as the PM6004 (High end Marantz about £2500 "Mid end" about £800 to £1200) are priced like basic Ford Fiesta's. That is the Titanium version might cost nearly twice as much but it doesn't IMHO have twice the...

Stereo amp advice needed to pair off with Q Acoustics 2050i

No need to apologise. I suppose a bigger amplifier is like having a bigger engine in your car. The bigger engine is far more useful even if you stick to the speed limits. I was just wondering why our hosts first speaker they mention is a floor stander with range up to 350 watts to be used with...

Stereo amp advice needed to pair off with Q Acoustics 2050i

From comments made on this thread I believe my amplifier may be underpowered for my speakers as in my signature. OK I accept the argument and obviously ideally need a Marantz K1 Perlite or a Roksan Kandy K2 or something of this ilk eventually. I think my next upgrade will be my turntable...
