HI Canada 16, I run my rs12 with a qed signature cable, if i put my head to the back i can hear the hum you refer to,no need to worry just normal. As someone said its a mechanical noise and changing cables makes no difference ,just enjoy it.

Alot depends on what bit rate your storing your music files. I would have thought a cd played through sony 760 would compare with a dock with ipod playback. i use Russ Andrews GQ25 ipod cable connected to phonos on amp, this sound as good as a budget cd player to me.

Adding a Tacima would give you surge protection, always advisable. You may notice improvements in your picture quality as i did with a monster power centre, sound quality little change even on more expensive kit. You could try a better mains cable with fig 8 connector on your thomson box this...

Hi Canada 16, There' s two EQ settings on the sub 21 hz and 27hz, for every day use I run mine on the latter, its that powerful. Switch to 21hz for movies believe me you'll feel it , it amazes me everytime . Buy with confidence before its too late, at these prices its' a ''no brainer''

I paid 600 quid a year ago worth every penny ,the build quality is amazing never had any issues at all just great pictures and sound.. Grab a bargain whilst you can !
