I'm having an issue with my Sony Bdp -S5000es , it will play some latest movies like need for speed , the hobbit , but it will not play Skyfall , divergent, iron man 3 it's very selective but the ones it does play it does great , any ideas ? It has the latest software update

I would say if your speakers are bi-wireable then yes i would do this,i have kef q5 fronts and q3 rears and q9c and listened to James Bond Quatum Of Solace Blu-Ray Dts Hd, title opening car chase and defo the sound has more definition to it bire-wired,Qed silver Anniversary cable,regards Andrew

I use to have this model If my memory serves me correct,you will need to connect the left and right main inputs and outputs to the pre main in and out couplings on the Marantz Amplifier or if it does not have these,usually to the tape (monitor ) select switch,or ie cdr- rec in /out jack...

i have my sony bdp-1se connected to my yamaha dsp z9 via analouge 5.1 cables and it sounds awesome,so i would say if anyting it might be better as i have heard a lot of dealers say that passing sound and picture through hdmi there is a compromise in sound
