I'm pretty sure that the Cambridge Magic DAC is exactly the same chipset as in the CXA60.

I can't comment on the Quad Vena as I havent heard it. I have been thinking further about the Mojo sound and will say that because it splits the strands out it sometimes can lose some impact on some tracks. With cheaper simpler DAC's the sound comes at you in a blob so it can sound like it is...

Haven't heard that one, will loook out for it. I found with the mojo that when I first got it I struggled to listen to music with it as I was just hearing the different strands and wasn't able to focus on the whole. Once I had re-trained my hearing it was then fine, took a fair few weeks...

I can hear the difference easily. If you can't then you must be missing something.

Very, very happy with my 3050's. One thing I would say is that they have stealthy bass, it's not in your face at all, suits me that way in a terraced house so I'm happy. I want some concept 500's now though :)

I agree with these comments, layering very good, you can pick everything apart. You will hear details that you have never heard before. CXA60 DAC rubbish in comparison, but OK for low enders.

I find that if I play it at highish volume there is something in the higher frequencies that really grates, it isn't something you can immediately hear though, maybe it is digital distortion. Apart from that the amp is very good and i won't grumble for the price. The mojo is WAY above the...

It is an old chip, I find it grating on my ears, flat and mushy compared to my Mojo. Ironically because of the forwardness it is quite good for AV though!

As I said on another thread the CXA60 is really good as long as you don't use the DAC. Lovely punch and dynamics.

I am very pleased with my CXA60 apart from the DAC which frankly is outdated and gives me a headache. As long as I'm using my Chord DAC then I'm getting a tremendous sound from my setup. Lots of punch and dynamics.

I would recommend a Mojo, it's like having candy poured into your ears.

Very impressive speakers, big sound from such tiny boxes, they are amazing.

Don't know if the CXN has the same DAC as my CXA amp but it isn't something I enjoyed when I used it before I got my Mojo, it gave me a headache to be honest.
