Try to demo of a a pair of PMC Twenty 21's or 22's, on their dedicated stands, they sound like heaven with Naim gear. I'm currently running a pair of 21's with a unitiqute2 & silver anniversary XT

The BX2's are without doubt excellent speakers for the money, they sound at they're best when placed on good stands approx 8" or more from a rear wall and at least 3ft away from the room corners. I could find no advantage to be had from bi-wiring, in fact single wires sounded better. They go...

It might be worth listening to a pair of AE 101's as well as they should fit the bill placement wise

In my experiance the Marantz can be a little harsh in the mid range & treble when pushed so something smoother like the Q-Acoustics should suit it well. I think the 4 sats & sub system suggested is a waste of time and money unless your going for a two room system.

Thanks guys, The AVI's would be out as they're active and I love the sound of the naim. I think the iota's will be too small, they certainly don't go low enough for my tastes. Just had a chat with my local sevenoaks guy (Dan) who has suggested waiting and doubling my budget to get the PMC...
