Thanks Vladimir ... I assume the "journey" it had upset the joints and at the moment it's been stood and is making connection ... But it could just as easy loose that connection again ... *unknw*

That's enough to confuse me for now lol *crazy* now the strangest thing ... Before packing it all back up and sending it back ... I switch it all back on and swap the leads to the tuner sockets.... It worked both speakers worked perfect .... I then swapped leads back to cd sockets ... It works...

one quick question....am I right in thinking the higher the number the better the player?

Now dilemma the guy has offered to refund but I have been after this particular model for a while 6000 OSE limited edition .... He says it worked perfectly before he shipped it and it could just be a solder joint on the output has come away ... Would this be expensive to fix ? The u it itself is...

I have some new QED cables that i bought for the CD player - I swapped them for an old standard set and both had the same result - also if i swapped the left and rights still on both sets only one speaker works ....... I think I have probs answered my own question then? ...faulty CD player?

Thank you Vladimir *biggrin* - when i turn it clockwise it gets louder - but the dial goes down in number order so i am guessing it should go quieter - or am i being totally stupid lol?

Hi could anyone help me please I have a Marantz 44se Amplifier - I have recently hooked it up to a pair of mission speakers and noticed the volume control is back to from ...IE the loudest setting is actually the lowest and vice versa...this seems a bit odd am I missing something please?
