I have a Cambridge Audio A1 amp and have just bought a Pioneer PL-X430 turntable. I plugged the turntable into the phono connections on the amp and attached the earth to the earth post. I put on a record and the sound is very quiet, almost impossible to hear. Does this mean I need a preamp...
