Heya, I am looking for a DAB Tuner to add to my hifi system (see my sig for details). I am a student so don't really have much money, I have seen a few below £50 and thats my price range, up to £50, I know thats not much, but any ideas?

Thought I'd update you. The 640c v1 started doing strange things, like when I switched it off spinning incredible loudly, so I took it back and ended up getting a cd6002, on which the cd tray then stopped opening! so I now have the ex-demo cd6002 from the richer sounds near me (there is...
I would reccomend timwileman's suggestion of the marantz cd6002 and pm6002, I just bought those (did get the 640c v1 but it broke almost immediatly) with a pair of maudant short 902i's, a great sounding system, doesnt seem too warm, but have a listen for yourself in richer, they should have a...
The one I just bought is my first component system (although I had my dads one when I was younger - can't rmember what it was)
I have a CA azur 640c v1, a marantz pm6002, mourdant short 902i's and gale T50 stands
I saw a Cambridge Audio azur 640C v2 for £150 at a cash converters, its a really good CD player, I have the v1 of the 640C which I just got for £99 at Richer sounds.

Heya, some of you may have read another thread I wrote about the system I was intending to get, £600 budget originally the azur 640A + C v2s + the Mordant Short 902i's, I then decided I wanted the PM6002and CD6002 with the 902i's
Well today i bought my system from richer sounds. I decided £600...
I was just having a look at the whathifi buyer guide and it seemed to rate the 6002 series marantz over the 640 cambridge audio stuff for both the amp and cd player, seeing as they are going for £200 each at richer sounds and therefore with the 902is also £550, would that be a better combo than...
I considered buying second hand, the trouble is for a relative newbie like me I just don't know what to look for, also I am conserned about buying stuff that isnt working properly.

Will this combination be OK for my taste in music? which is as I said all kinds of Rock/Guitar and Jazz I know nad have a warmer sound etc but for the price I am not sure if I could get any better?
In my opinion, no tone controls is prob best if recording is perfect and matches room acoustics, but usually this doesn't happen!! Depends if you are going for 100% faithful reproduction or adjusting it to your taste/improve problems with recording.
I would say that there is a difference - logic would tell you that having something infront of the output will change the sound waves, I like having them off, however at the moment I am just about to buy a decent hifi and being at uni, things get knocked over/into and people get over...
