done the atmos update this weekend and watched tmnt (better than i thought) and the sound track on this amp was fantastic, can dolby thd be upscaled to atmos kind of like how 5.1 movies get upscaled to 7.1 with ES. and with my other question is listening to dts neo X doing lossless audio tracks...

ok a bit more set up with this receiver now and from what i understand the only way i can get sound from all the speakers (9.1) is to select dtx neo x but can someone let me know if i do that when say watching blu ray disk with dts hd 7.1 soundtrack is this downgrading the sound quality.

yes i have set up my speaker config 7.1 with front hights. as i had it with my yamaha i could only choose between rears and f/hights not have both at the same time due to it being 7.1 but it would identify the speakers being used but with the pioneer display it will only give me the standard 7...

I have spoken to Yamaha today and this is where it gets tricky you can add a stereo amp to get extra channels but the amp isn't clever enough to send the correct sound that say a 7.1 encoded disk to the fronts via a the pre outs it would just free up channels for music use. 9.1 or 9.2 channel...

Hi all, just added some front hight speakers to my set up and re-calibrated using set up Mic and is coming back with the front left speaker and my centre speaker out of phase and set them to reverse I have checked my wiring and all is fine. Is there a problem with my speakers

I think we are getting off topic, the question is more towards can a 7.2 channel amp run all the speakers in my setup or do I need to go to 9.2 or is there a way around it.
